EDISON, N.J. – Following a five-goal week in a pair of wins for #25 Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse, Kelly Haggerty has been named the MAAC Rookie of the Week.
 
Entering the week with just one career goal, Haggerty scored once in Wednesday's win over Iona then poured in four goals in the Saturday victory over Canisius. She is Fairfield's first MAAC Rookie of the Week since Brooke Lennon earned the award in the 2021 season.
 
Fairfield Women's Lacrosse has won nine consecutive games and is ranked by the IWLCA for the third consecutive week. Now 9-1 overall and 3-0 in the MAAC, the Stags will play a pair of road games this week, first heading to Marist on Wednesday, April 3. The Red Foxes are 3-7 overall and 2-1 in the MAAC after a 19-15 loss at Rider on Saturday.
