Fairfield University Stags (8-3, 3-0 MAAC)
  • The Stags defeated Canisius, 12-9, on Saturday to move to 3-0 in MAAC play. Fairfield joins Niagara and The Mount as the three teams currently unbeaten in conference action.

Rider University Broncs (1-11, 0-3 MAAC)
  • Rider was on the short side of a 17-2 loss at Mount St. Mary's on Saturday to fall to 1-11 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

  • Wednesday's game is Fairfield's lone trip outside of Connecticut during the MAAC portion of the schedule. Of the four originally scheduled MAAC road trips, two are in-state clashes at Sacred Heart and Quinnipiac, and the April 4 trek to Manhattan was moved to Rafferty Stadium due to field availability.

  • The Jaspers, who welcome Sacred Heart to Gaelic Park on Wednesday, start the week at 2-10 overall and 1-2 in MAAC contests.
