WALLINGFORD, Conn.- The Fairfield University women's golf team finished two days and 54 holes of play at the 2024 Quinnipiac Classic on a chilly and windy Tuesday afternoon at The Farms Country Club in Wallingford, where the Stags finished seventh in the 11 team event. The University of Pennsylvania took the team title, firing a +56 to edge Boston College by one stroke. Host Quinnipiac took third at +63.
Newcomer Sofia Nogalo was the top Fairfield finisher for the three rounds as she tied for twentieth on the leaderboard going +21 for the tournament (+8, +4, +9). Her four over par 76 in round two on Monday was her team's lowest round of the tournament.
Julia Rabadam was next on the leaderboard for the Stags finishing in a tie for 24th at +23
Juliette Prud'Homme, Grace Windfelder and Katelynn Waclawski completed the Fairfield scoring quintet that took to the links at the Quinnipiac Classic, with Katie Patterson hitting the course as an individual.
Claire Lu of Penn took home individual medalist honors for the tournament shooting +8 for the three rounds to win by two strokes over a trio of competitors at +10.
Up next, the Fairfield women's golf team will wrap up its 2024 Fall slate of action this weekend at the Lehigh Invitational in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The tournament will take place at the Saucon Valley Country Club this Saturday and Sunday, October 19 and 10.
