CANTON, Mass. – Fairfield University Women's Golf had its best round of the Red Bandanna Invitational on Tuesday, closing the tournament with a 323 to move up the leaderboard and finish 14th after 54 holes at Blue Hill Country Club.
Julia Towne led the Stags for the tournament, finishing tied for 49th in a field of 90 golfers.

Towne's final-round 76 (+4) was the best by a Stag for the tournament, as she climbed 19 spots on the individual leaderboard on Tuesday.
Julia Rabadam was just one stroke behind her on the ledger, followed by
Maria Beltran,
Katelynn Waclawski and
Grace Kryscio.

Tournament host Boston College won the event, with all five of the Eagles' scoring quintet finishing among the top 12. Leeyen Peralta of Quinnipiac grabbed medalist honors with a 222 (+5) for the week.

The Stags now face a quick turnaround with another 54-hole event on deck at the Yale Invitational beginning on Saturday, Sept. 30.
