AUBURN, ALA. – Following opening round action at the Auburn University Club, Fairfield University men's golf senior Killian McGinley sits just back of a number of individual competitors after a tightly contested start to the 2023 NCAA Regional at Auburn.
At six over par for the opening round, McGinley is just four shots off of the fourth-place individual, with places second through 10th amongst the solo players separated by just five strokes. Alex Goff of Kentucky leads the group at one under par, two shots ahead of second place Tobias Jonsson from Mercer sitting at one over through 18 holes. Erik Jansson of Jacksonville State finished one back of him to sit third out of the 10 individuals, followed by a four-way draw at four over par. Cameron Clarke of Southern Mississippi sits eighth at five over, with McGinley and Tennessee Tech's Jackson Skeen deadlocked at six over.
Second round action from Alabama kicks off tomorrow morning with live scoring available throughout the round once again via Golfstat.
