HELLERTOWN, PA. ­– A stellar performance in the opening round of the ABARTA Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational sees Killian McGinley lead the field and help Fairfield University men's golf to second place out of 18 schools heading into final round action today.

McGinley shot six under on the Par 72 layout at Northampton Country Club for sole possession of first place in the 103-player field and two shots ahead of three players tied for second. Joining him amongst the top-25 included both Michael McCarthy (-1) and Patrick McCarthy (E) followed by Shane DeVincenzo one shot back at one over and Jason Salameno a couple shots back. The impressive first 18 by entire Fairfield quintet places the squad just three shots back of first place Lehigh with a two shot cushion over Iona and Lafayette.
