FAIRFIELD, Conn. – For the second time this season, Lucie Vincent, a freshman forward on the Fairfield University field hockey team, earned the Northeast Conference (NEC) Offensive Player of the Week and the Rookie of the Week. Her efforts helped the Stags post a 2-0 record last weekend and garner at least a share of the NEC Regular Season Championship.

Vincent opened the week with a pair of goals and an assist as the Stags posted a 4-1 win over Rider University. She scored the team's first goal of the match which tied the game at 1-1 before closing out the scoring with a goal in the 32^nd minute. She followed up another goal in the Stags' 2-0 win over LIU, netting the second goal of the afternoon.

For the week, Vincent scored three goals and added one assist for seven points off eight shots over the two games. She currently owns the top spot in the NEC for points per game, averaging 1.47 per contest based on her conference co-leading nine goals with four assists for 22 points. She has tallied at least one point in eight of her 15 appearances since joining the program.

The Fairfield University field hockey team, under Head Coach Jackie Kane, checks into the final weekend of regular-season play with a 12-3 overall record and a 6-0 NEC mark. The Stags will travel to Merrimack College on Friday to close out their NEC slate before playing the regular-season finale at the College of the Holy Cross on Sunday.
