FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield University field hockey was well represented on the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) National Academic Squad with 19 Stags earning a position on the team. Over 1,100 student-athletes from 82 institutions received this recognition, an accolade that goes to individuals who have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher through the fall semester.
Five Fairfield seniors earned a berth to the NFHCA National Academic Squad for the fourth time in their career, namely
Konni Hofmann,
Rylee LaLoup,
Pilar Mengotti,
Alice Pifferi, and
Alex Senior. In addition,
Autumn Bartush,
Kylie Corcoran,
Maggie Dowd,
Catherine Fitzgerald,
Kaelyn Fogelson,
Noor Hellemans,
Alex Jordon,
Beatrice Loevenich,
Georgia McDade,
Kelley Monahan,
Catalina Ness,
Camille Perlov,
Courtland Schumacher, and
Stevie Zonarich were also honored with placement on the squad.
The Fairfield University field hockey team, under Head Coach
Laura Gebhart, finished the 2025 season with a 16-6 overall record and an unblemished 9-0 mark in NEC play. The Stags captured the NEC regular-season and tournament championship which earned a berth to the NCAA Championship. The team posted an opening round win against Boston University by a 1-0 score before falling to national finalist and second-seeded Princeton University by a 3-1 count.
