MILFORD, Conn. – Led by a trio of top-10 finishers, Fairfield University Women's Golf claimed second place in an eight-team field at the SHU Fall Classic in Milford.
Maria Beltran and
Julia Rabadam led the way for the Stags, sharing fifth place on the individual leaderboard at the Great River Golf Club in Milford.

Beltran and Rabadam each carded a +16 at the 54-hole event. Beltran's final round 75 marked the best round of the tournament by a Stag.
Julia Towne also finished in the top 10, placing 10th at +22.

All six Stags to hit the course this week were among the top half of the 41-golfer field.
Grace Kryscio turned in a 15th place finish,
Juliette Prud'Homme tied for 17th and
Katelynn Waclawski shared 19th place.

On the team ledger, the Stags were comfortably in second place with a 941, besting third-place Franklin Pierce by 31 strokes. Fairfield also defeated Siena, Holy Cross, La Salle, UMES and the Sacred Heart "B" team. The host Pioneers' "A" squad won the event with an aggregate 897.

Fairfield Women's Golf will conclude the fall slate next week at the Lehigh Invitational on Oct. 23-24.
