FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Men's Basketball debuts in the new on-campus Arena on Saturday, Dec. 3 against Saint Peter's as a part of the 2022-23 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference schedule, which was announced today by the conference office. The 20-game slate completes the Stags' 31-outing schedule that feature 14 games in the on-campus Arena.

The conference schedule opens at Manhattan on Thursday, Dec. 1 as preamble to the Stags' Dec. 3 home opener against the Peacocks – the defending MAAC Champions who made an unprecedented run to the Elite Eight last March.
The clash with the Peacocks starts an eight-game homestand as the Stags will return to non-conference play to challenge Sacred Heart, Yale, Coast Guard and Drexel before resuming the league slate after Christmas. Fairfield hosts Marist on Friday, Dec. 30 then rings in 2023 against Siena on Jan. 1 and Niagara on Jan. 6.
A challenging road weekend in on tap with trips to MAAC Regular Season Champion Iona and the return visit to MAAC Champion Saint Peter's on Jan. 13-15. Following a quick stop home to host Canisius on Jan. 20, the Stags head to Siena on Jan. 22 and make their first-ever trip as a conference foe to MAAC newcomer Mount St. Mary's on Jan. 26. The month concludes back the on-campus Arena against Rider on Sunday, Jan. 29.
The February schedule opens in Hamden at in-state MAAC rival Quinnipiac on Feb. 3 followed by a meeting back at Fairfield against Iona on Feb. 5. The next weekend sends the Stags to Rider on Friday, Feb. 12 then back home to host Mount St. Mary's on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 12.
Fairfield plays three of its final five on the road, starting with a Friday, Feb. 17 jaunt to Marist. The Stags are back at the Arena on Sunday, Feb. 19 to welcome Manhattan before making the MAAC's Western New York swing with visits to Niagara and Canisius on Feb. 24-26. The regular season concludes at home against Quinnipiac on Thursday, March 2.
The 2023 MAAC Championship returns to Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City from March 7-11 with the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament on the line.
