Stags to Play Exhibition at VCU, Oct. 26 in Richmond

The Rams are the reigning Atlantic 10 Champions

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Men's Basketball will play an exhibition game at VCU on Sunday, Oct. 26, prior to the start of the 2025-26 regular season. The Rams are the reigning champions of the Atlantic 10.
 
The Oct. 26 exhibition will be the preamble to a Fairfield Men's Basketball season that will feature 16 home games at Leo D. Mahoney Arena. Season ticket packages are on sale now at FairfieldStags.com/TIX.
 
VCU is coming off a 28-7 campaign, winning a share of the A-10 Regular Season Championship at 15-3 in league play and posting a 15-1 mark at home inside the Siegel Center. The Rams earned a #11-seed and met #6-seeded BYU in the NCAA Championship First Round in Denver, falling by a score of 80-71.
 
Fairfield and VCU have met once before in the regular season. The Stags defeated the Rams, 58-54, in Charlottesville, Virginia on Nov. 28, 1981.
 
Following the Oct. 26 game, the Stags will open the regular season with three straight road outings at Penn State (Nov. 3), NJIT (Nov. 8) and Seton Hall (Nov. 10). The home slate begins with the first-ever MTE at Mahoney Arena when Fairfield welcomes Stonehill on Nov. 14 and Loyola Maryland on Nov. 16.
