FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Men's Basketball rising senior Joe Ganton recently completed his second summer tour with USA Garden State Basketball. Ganton and his teammates, who all hail from New Jersey or play collegiate basketball in the state, traveled to Greece, Albania, and Croatia during the 11-day excursion.
 
On the court, USA Garden State went 2-1 on the trip, dropping its opening game against Athens Select before earning wins over Petra (Greece) Basketball Club and Dubrovnik (Croatia) Select. The squad also hosted a youth basketball clinic on the Greek island of Santorini.
 
"I would like to thank Coach Casey and the entire Fairfield basketball program for supporting me throughout this experience," said Ganton. "I am extremely grateful and honored for the opportunity to represent Fairfield, New Jersey, and the United States on the international stage."
 
Ganton's teammates with Garden State Basketball include student-athletes and alumni representing programs including Rutgers, Vermont, Columbia, NJIT, and UIC. Ganton hails from North Caldwell, N.J.; he was the Super Essex Conference All-Colonial Division Player of the Year and an All-State honoree at West Essex after averaging 23.8 points per game as a senior.
