EDISON, N.J. – Fairfield University Women's Tennis has been selected for second place in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Stags, who were clipped by eventual champ Siena this past spring, garnered one first-place vote on the ledger.
 
Perennial contender Quinnipiac grabbed four of the seven first-place votes to take first place in the poll. Fairfield's one first-place vote edged them into second place just ahead of Siena with its two first-place tally. Marist, Monmouth, Niagara and Rider rounded out the ledger.
 
The Stags are 1-0 on the season after a 4-3 win over Sacred Heart in their lone dual of the fall. The spring portion of the schedule opens on Jan. 29 at UConn. MAAC play begins on March 26 at Monmouth.
