RIDGEFIELD, N.J. – The second varsity 8 and the varsity four captured first-place finishes for the Fairfield University women's rowing team as they competed against Manhattan, Sacred Heart and Iona at the NYRA Overpeck Training Center.
The second varsity 8 race featured two Fairfield entries with the A boat taking the top spot and the B boat securing fourth with Sacred Heart (7:51.32) and Manhattan (7:54.16) finishing between the two shells. The A entry was comprised by

Kathryn Bergstrom,
Chloe Lennon,
Meghan Megill,
Colleen Daghita, Ali Guido, Madi McSherry, and coxswain
Erin Dobbs. The B boat consisted of
Maddie Carter,

Molly Cronin, Maddie Gibson,
Kiersten Murray,
Megan Blair, Cassie Reilly, Adaila Flores, and coxswain
Hannah Cross.
The varsity 4 event ended with Fairfield taking first place with a time of 8:51.27 with Sacred Heart (8:54.67), Manhattan (9:20.75), and Iona (9:27.86) rounding out the standings. The Stags were represented by

Katelynn Banville.
The Stags also competed in the varsity 8 with their shell crossing the finish line in 7:28.35, just off Sacred Heart's winning time of 7:25.84. Fairfield's finish was through the efforts of

The final race of the day was a run between the Sacred Heart and Fairfield second varsity 4 teams. The Stags (9:40.43) finished second to the Pioneers (9:17.23) with

Charlotte Finnerty competing for Fairfield.
