LAST TIME OUT
Fairfield Men's Basketball erased a double-digit second-half deficit and rallied for an 83-78 overtime win over Stony Brook on Wednesday afternoon at Webster Bank Arena this afternoon. The Stags trailed by 11 points with 14 minutes remaining in regulation before making their comeback.

Jake Wojcik finished the game with a team-high 24 points while Supreme Cook registered 16 points and nine rebounds with a block to pace the Stags. Taj Benning added 14 points while TJ Long came off the bench to contribute 11 points to represent Fairfield's four double-digit scorers.

The Stags shot 50 percent from the floor in the game, connecting on 30 of 60 shots attempted. The team also excelled at the free throw line, netting 16 of 18 charity tosses for 89 percent.

NON-CONFERENCE WINNING STREAKS
With the win over Stony Brook, the Stags are riding their first three-game winning streak against non-MAAC competition since starting the 2016-17 season at 3-0 with victories over Sacred Heart, Dartmouth and Wagner.

The Stags' last four-game non-league winning streak came on Dec. 12-29, 2012 with wins over Milwaukee, Drexel, Saint Joseph's and Old Dominion. The streak was five non-conference games in total, though the games were not consecutive as a win at Austin Peay on Dec. 1 was followed by a MAAC loss to Canisius.

The LOYOLA university MARYLAND GREYHOUNDS at a Glance
Loyola Maryland comes to Webster Bank Arena with a 2-4 record, most recently knocking off Division III Elizabethtown, 69-42, on Wednesday night. The Greyhounds also own a win over South Carolina State while suffering losses to #19 North Carolina, Charleston, Lipscomb and Coppin State.

Cam Spencer leads Loyola with 18.5 points per game, while Jaylin Andrews adds 13.0 points per outing. The Greyhounds were tabbed for eighth of 10 teams in the Patriot League Preseason Coaches' Poll.

THE GREYHOUNDS IN 2020-21
Loyola Maryland reached the Patriot League Championship Game last season, falling to Colgate with the NCAA postseason berth on the line. The Greyhounds went 6-11 in a unique season that saw them play only eight different opponents (all Patriot League foes), including six separate meetings with Lafayette.

LAST MEETING: LOYOLA MARYLAND 84, FAIRFIELD 75 (OT, 11/17/2019)
The Stags scored the final five points in regulation to force overtime, but the Greyhounds opened the extra session on a 10-2 run to pull away for an 84-75 victory on Nov. 17, 2019 in Baltimore.

Landon Taliaferro and Jesus Cruz shared the team high with 17 points apiece. Vincent Eze added 15 and Taj Benning scored 14 for the Stags. Andrew Kostecka led all scorers with 31 points for the Greyhounds.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Fairfield leads 38-23 in an all-time series that dates back to 1977. The majority of the 61 prior meetings in the series came from 1990 through 2013 when Loyola was a member of the MAAC. The teams met annually as non-conference foes from 2013-14 through 2017-18, skipping a 2018-19 clash before resuming the set in 2019-20.

JY IN OT
Including Wednesday's win over Stony Brook, Fairfield is 5-2 in seven overtime games since Jay Young took the helm in the 2019-20 season.

UP NEXT
The Stags enter December with a short foray into the MAAC schedule. Fairfield makes the longest trip of the conference slate, heading to Western New York to challenge Canisius on Dec. 3 and Niagara on Dec. 5.
