2021-22: MAAC All-Rookie Team...Three-time MAAC Rookie of the Week (Nov. 15, Nov. 29, Feb. 28)…Ranked second among MAAC rookies with 7.2 points per game…Shot 40.3 percent from deep with 52 made three-pointers…Averaged 12.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game in his first two collegiate appearances against Providence and Boston College...Scored double figures in both games with 11 against the Friars and 13 against the Eagles...Scored 11 points and dished five assists in the win over Medgar Evers...Scored all eight of his points in the second half of the Nov. 20 win at Sacred Heart...Posted 11 points and five rebounds in the overtime win over Stony Brook...Netted 21 points, fueled by five three-pointers, against Loyola Maryland on Nov. 28...Hit a pair of three-pointers in the win at Niagara...Drained a pair of three-pointers en route to eight points against Iona...Paced the offense with 11 points against Quinnipiac on Feb. 9...Scored a team-high 14 points in the win at Manhattan on Feb. 27...Shot 7-for-9 from three-point range en route to 23 points in the win over Rider.

Before Fairfield: TJ Long joined the Stags after enjoying a successful academic and athletic careers at the high school and prep levels. He attended Holy Trinity High School in New York and continued his education at Canterbury School in Connecticut. He earned All-Long Island honors as one of the area's leading scorers during his senior season. He continued his scoring success at Canterbury as illustrated by his 48-point night against national power Putman Science. He finished his season at Canterbury by averaging 18.4 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. He shot 48.5 percent from the floor, including 42 percent from three-point range, and 84.6 from the free throw line.
