Box Score DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Justin Guerrera crushed his second home run of the spring in the top of the first inning but it was not enough as Bethune-Cookman scored seven unanswered runs between the third and sixth innings for a 7-2 victory over the Fairfield University Baseball team.
Bethune-Cookman tied the game in the third inning on a passed and took the lead in the same frame with a RBI double. The Stags would score their final run in the eighth on a RBI groundout that scored
Mike Caruso with an unearned run.
Fairfield tallied four hits on the day with Guerrera's homer being the highlight.
Bryson Cafaro came out of the bullpen and tossed 2.1 scoreless innings allowing just one hit and striking out three.
The Stags are back in action on Wednesday when they take on Stetson at 7pm.
