FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse brings a four-game winning streak and a 3-0 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) record to Poughkeepsie on Saturday for a 1 p.m. meeting at Marist. The Stags are 8-3 overall heading into their pivotal conference clash with the Red Foxes.

Fairfield limited Manhattan to two goals over the final 47 minutes on Wednesday afternoon on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium, and
Taylor Mitchell paced the attack with five goals – notching her 100th career point in the process – as the Stags picked up a 14-6 victory.
Brooke Gallagher also tallied five points with two goals and three assists.

Kelly Horning,
Kathleen Hulseman and
Jillian Winwood each added two goals, and
Meaghan Graham potted one to round out the scoring. Fairfield also got two assists from
Diana DeVita and one apiece out of Horning and
Kelly Gordon.

Doing their part to keep Fairfield on the attack, Horning and
Maggie Reynolds each hauled in five draw controls and
Nicollette LaVista picked up three. In total, the Stags held a 15-7 advantage on the restart, including a 10-1 margin in the second half.

Reynolds also paced a strong defensive effort with three caused turnovers and three ground balls on the back line. The starting backline of Reynolds,
Megan Beach,
Erin Mammele,
Caroline Mangan and
Kennedy Slater was instrumental in pressuring the Jaspers into 20 turnovers. The Stags also limited Manhattan's top three point scorers – Molly Fitzpatrick, Grace Lipponer and Cassidy Burns – to a combined total of two goals and one assist.

In the cage,
Olivia Conquest went the distance and made seven saves to notch her eighth win of the year.
Scouting Marist
The Marist Red Foxes are coming off of their strongest offensive showing of the season – a 19-14 win over Canisius to improve to 5-7 overall and 2-2 in the MAAC. Both the Stags and Red Foxes own one-goal wins over Quinnipiac, with Fairfield's 14-6 win over Manhattan holding up over Marist's 12-10 loss to the Jaspers.
The Marist offense is led by the MAAC's leading goal Âscorer in 2018 Second Team All-MAAC performer Samantha Mehalick, who has netted 45 goals and 51 total points. Coming off of an 11-point day against Canisius, Kelly George ranks second on the squad with 36 points (19g, 17a). 2018 All-MAAC Second Team midfielder Hailey Wagner adds 25 goals and ranks second in nation on the draw with 10.83 draw controls per game (130 total).

Reigning MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year Delaney Galvin has spent all but 14 minutes in the Marist cage this season. She owns a .385 save percentage and 14.26 goals-against average with 168 goals allowed and 105 saves.
All-Time Series (Fairfield leads 19-11)
Fairfield is 19-11 against its most common opponent in program history following Marist's 11-10 win at Rafferty Stadium last season. The result marked the fifth time in the last eight meetings that the matchup was decided by one goal.

The Stags are also riding a four-game winning streak at Marist's Tenney Stadium, defeating the Red Foxes on their home field in 2015 and 2017 and knocking off Monmouth and Canisius in Poughkeepsie last spring to win the 2018 MAAC Championship.
