Biography

2019: Fairfield University Female Athlete of the Year…All-MAAC First Team…MAAC All-Championship Team…IWLCA Academic Honor Roll...MAAC All-Academic Team…Had only the third 80-point season in program history with 45 goals and 35 assists…Had a career-high eight points against Hofstra and Marist, netting seven goals against the Red Foxes in the MAAC Championship Semifinals…Posted six points with three goals and three assists in the NCAA Championship First Round against Wagner…Scored five game-winners…Had three or more points in 12 games…Nabbed 15 ground balls with 12 caused turnovers and 20 draw controls.

2018: Played in 20 games, starting 15. Scored a career-high 30 goals and added seven assists. Had five games with three of more goals including a season-high four goals in the 18-7 win over Sacred Heart. Scored three goals and added an assist in the 2018 MAAC Championship Game.

2017: Appeared in nine games for the Stags as a junior…  Recorded her first career multi-goal game when she scored a hat trick against New Hampshire on March 5… Finished the season with seven points off six goals and an assist… Also collected two groundballs, one draw control, and two caused turnovers.

2016: As a sophomore appeared in three games for the Stags… Made her collegiate debut and scored her first career goal against Quinnipiac on April 20th in a 17-3 win…Also saw game action at New Hampshire and Iona.

2015: Gallagher redshirted the 2015 campaign due to injury.

Before Fairfield: Gallagher comes to Fairfield after lettering four seasons in women’s lacrosse at Notre Dame High School, where she served as a captain her senior year. Gallagher competed at midfield for the Notre Dame Irish where she recorded 249 career goals, 84 career assists, and 333 career points.  As a senior, she was an Honorable Mention All-American, a New Jersey All-State Third Team selection, and an All-South New Jersey selection. Gallagher was also named to The Time All-Area First Team, The Times All-CVC First Team, and the Trentonian All-CVC First Team. As a junior, Gallagher was named to The Times All-Area First Team, the Trentonian All-CVC First Team, and The Times All-CVC First Team. As a sophomore, she was named to the Trentonian All-CVC Second Team and The Times All-CVC Second Team. Gallagher also was a member of the Italian Honor Society, the Community Service Club, and the NHS Scavenger Hunt.  

Personal: Daughter of Lisa and Paul Gallagher… Has two sisters, Courtney and Morgan… Father played baseball at Penn State… Sister, Courtney, played women’s lacrosse at Cornell… Sister, Morgan, played women’s lacrosse at Stevenson...Member of Love Your Melon.
