Biography
2023: All-MAAC First Team, MAAC All-Academic, and IWLCA Academic Honor Roll…Appeared in 19 games for the Stags, starting all 19… Led the team with 82 draw controls. LaVista recorded a program-record 12 draw controls in a home win over Marist on 04/01/2023. In that same time, LaVista became just the second player in Fairfield Women’s Lacrosse history to reach 200 career draw controls.
2022: Started and played in all 20 games during the season... led the team with 97 draw controls, the third best single-season mark in program history, in addition to three caused turnovers... Set career-high with nine draw controls against No. 23 UConn... tallied one goal against Wagner (Feb. 19).
2021: Played in all 15 games in the midfield, starting in all but one contest… scored three goals, while collecting 51 draw controls, two ground balls, and forced one turnover.
2020: Appeared in five games on the draw, including four starts…Posted five draw controls and two ground balls.
2019: Appeared in 16 games with three starts…Won 21 draws, including six in the MAAC win over Iona…Dished out an assist in the MAAC Championship Game against Siena...Also notched two ground balls and two caused turnovers in her rookie campaign.
High School: An All-CHSAA performer in the midfield...Team captain and team's leading goal scorer as a senior...Played on the second-place LI Top Guns U15 National Team...An honor roll student.
Personal: Daughter of Sally and Johnny LaVista...Mother played tennis at SUNY Cortland.
