BUFFALO, N.Y. – Fairfield University Men's Swimming and Diving put points on the board in five events to conclude action at the 2019 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships on Saturday evening in Buffalo. The Stags concluded the conference-wide meet in ninth place in the team standings.

Patrick Boyle was the Stags' top performer on Saturday with a sixth-place time of 16:00.94 in the 1650y freestyle.
Evan Fair, who won two medals at his first MAAC Championship, scored for the Stags in the 200y backstroke today with a ninth-place showing.

Peter Sloan added an 11th-place finish in the 200y breaststroke and
Benjamin Kebbell placed 15th in the 100y freestyle Rounding out the Stags' scoring for the weekend, the 400y freestyle relay team of Fair,
Peter Gori,
Jordan Rahurahu and Kebbell finished ninth with a time of 3:08.45.

With 208.5 points for the weekend, the Stags finished comfortably ahead of 10th-place Manhattan (143) and within striking distance of eighth-place Niagara's 234 team points. Rider won the MAAC Championship for the eighth consecutive season with 781 points to pull away from second-place Bryant (542).
