BUFFALO, N.Y. – Evan Fair picked up his second medal of the weekend with a second-place showing in the 400y IM to highlight Friday's action for Fairfield University Men's Swimming and Diving at the 2019 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships.
Fair clocked in at 3:54.70 to place second in the 400y IM and set a new Fairfield program record. The freshman also earned a bronze medal on Thursday with a third-place finish in the 500y freestyle.
Benjamin Kebbell added a seventh-place finish in the 200y freestyle,
Peter Sloan finished 11th in the 100y breaststroke,
Lukas Stanton ranked 13th in the 3-meter dive,
Jordan Rahurahu placed 15th in the 400y IM and the 400y medley relay team placed ninth to round out the Stags' scoring on the day.
Fairfield currently sits ninth on the team leaderboard with 161.5 points. The Stags are just 7.5 points shy of eighth-place Saint Peter's and in striking distance of seventh-place Niagara (176 points) entering Saturday. Rider currently tops the leaderboard with 546 points – holding a healthy lead over second-place Bryant (397).
