BUFFALO, N.Y. – Evan Fair represented Fairfield University Men's Swimming and Diving on the podium at the 2019 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships on Thursday. Fair's third-place showing in the 500y freestyle highlighted the second day of action in Buffalo as the Stags currently stand in eighth place with 99.5 points.
Fair's third-place finish was his first career medal at the MAAC Championships. He clocked with a time of 4:28.67 to earn 16 points on the team leaderboard for the Stags.
Fairfield also picked up points today from the 200y freestyle relay team as the quartet of
Nick Adams, Fair,
Jordan Rahurahu and
Benjamin Kebbell placed ninth, touching the wall at 1:24.70.
Rider continues to top the team leaderboard with 252 points to maintain a 22-point lead over Bryant after two days of action. Seven more finals in men's events will be held on Friday with the remaining six to be contested on Saturday when the 2019 MAAC Champion is crowned.
