Box Score HANOVER, N.H. – Eden Nibbelink netted a career-high with 11 points and connected on three 3-pointers for the first time in her career, but it was not enough as the Fairfield University Women's Basketball team fell 59-46 to Dartmouth on Sunday afternoon.

Fairfield enjoyed one good stretch offensively spanning between the second and third quarters as the Stags hit eight of their 10 shots, but would go 12-for-41 (.292) the rest of the way.

The Stags fell behind by as many as 20 points in the first half, most of the deficit coming from a 19-6 first quarter for Dartmouth. Fairfield shot just 23 percent in that first quarter, connecting on just three of their 13 attempts.

The offense found their rhythm in the second quarter with a late charge in the half, hitting their final four shots and scoring nine of their 13 points in the final two minutes before intermission. Nibbelink started the run with a layup and ended the stretch with a corner 3-pointer.
Casey Foley was one of five Stags to record an assist in the half, leading the team with three.

Fairfield would continue that offensive success for the first six minutes of the third quarter as Foley started the half with a 3-pointer. The Stags would hit four of their first six shots of the half, ending with another Nibbelink three. However, the squad would go cold after that make, connecting on just two of their next 10 attempts which spanned to the fourth quarter. Nibbelink would end that stretch with her third 3-pointer of the game, a new career-high.

The Stags would cut the Dartmouth lead to 11 on a Foley 3-pointer with under two minutes left, but the squad could not get any closer.

The Big Green shot 61 percent for the game, including a 72 percent mark (13-for-18) in the first half. Their leading scorer Isalys Quinones led the way with 18 points on 6-for-8 shooting.

Playing in her 100th career game, Foley led the Stags with seven assists and two steals. The two swipes brings her career total to 132, entering her in the top-20 in program history. She also joined Nibbelink and Diouf in double figures.

The Stags will take a break for final exams before opening play in Las Vegasm Nev., in the South Point Holiday Hoops Classic beginning with a game against Furman on Thursday, Dec., 20 at 3pm EST.
