FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University Women's Basketball team earned a Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Team Academic Award after amassing a 3.69 grade point average during the 2025-26 academic year. The three-time defending MAAC Champions ranked 19th in Division I with their GPA.
 
"One of the aspects I love most about coaching at Fairfield is the alignment both academically and athletically to achieve at a high level," Head Coach Carly Thibault-DuDonis said. "Our university is as competitive as it has ever been and attracts high achievers in all facets. I am so proud of our women and the commitment and dedication they exhibit to be great in all areas of their life!"
 
The Stags showcased their success on and off the court by maintaining one of the highest GPAs in program history. On the hardwood, the Stags won their third-straight MAAC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance while also being ranked in the Associated Press (AP) Top-25 national poll.
 
Several Stags have received academic honors throughout the season including Kaety L'Amoreaux, Meghan Andersen, and Cyanne Coe who all earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District squad.
 
Fairfield also had eight selections on the MAAC All-Academic Team with each student-athlete maintaining a 3.20 GPA.
 
Over the last three seasons, the Stags have amassed a 66-2 record against conference opponents which includes nine-straight tournament victories. Additionally, Fairfield has an 87-12 overall record during those three campaigns, the fifth-highest winning percentage in the nation during that span.
