Bronx, N.Y. – Fairfield men's and women's swimming and diving were edged by Fordham this evening.  The women fell by a score of 58-180 while the men dropped the meet 61-167. 
 
On the men's side, Peter Gori finished in second place in the 1000 Yard Freestyle with a final time of 10:29.27.  Patrick Boyle also picked up a second-place finish in the 500 Yard Freestyle clocking in at 4:53.89.  Jack Benavides came in second place as well in the 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:02.96. 
 
Lukas Stanton finished in third place in the 1 Meter Diving with a final score of 174.98 and also placed third in the 3 Meter Diving with a score of 170.25.
 
For the women, Shannon Feeley took home a first-place finish in the 500 Yard Freestyle with a final time of 5:10.09.  Emily Vlass finished in second in the 1000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 11:20.65.  Kelly Cordes also came in second-place in the 100 Yard Backstroke clocking in at 1:01.20.  Colleen Young and Victoria Krivitsky came in second and third respectively in the 100 Yard Breaststroke. 
 
In the 3 Meter Diving, Caitlin Campbell finished in third with a score of 163.28. 
 
The Stags will return home to the RecPlex Pool tomorrow at 1 P.M. as they host Loyola Maryland.
