FAIRFIELD, Conn. – with a 2-0 start in hand, the Fairfield University men's basketball team will make its first road trip of the season, a stretch that will run from November 18 until the team's next home game on December 17. During that stretch, the Stags will travel to Indiana, Ohio, and Texas.
The road trip begins against a formidable opponent in 19th-ranked Purdue University on Saturday. The game time is slated for 7 pm and will be streamed online through BTN2Go.com. It's the Stags first trip to Mackey Arena, but the Boilermakers are familiar with the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Purdue owns an unblemished 11-0 record against teams from the MAAC.After playing at Purdue, Fairfield will play three games in Dayton over the Thanksgiving weekend, taking on Jacksonville, Gardner-Webb, and host Wright State.

Fairfield ended the half with a 19-3 run that sent the team into the locker room with a 30-21 advantage. When the Stags opened the half with a 13-5 spurt, the lead was raised to 17 points at 43-26. The Greyhounds came as close as eight points but Fairfield regained its double-digit lead soon after that Loyola run.

Tyler Nelson (12 points),
Jonathan Kasibabu (12), and
Ferron Flavors Jr. (11). Fairfield shot under 40 percent from the floor in both the first and second half but still managed to outscore Loyola in both halves.
Nelson remains the team's top scorer to date with a 21.0 scoring average, while Milin is next in line with 13.5 points per contest.
Wassef Methnani is the top scoring reserve so far, posting 10 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
The Boilermakers improved to 3-0 with its 86-71 win over Marquette on Tuesday night, the 9th time in 13 years in which the Boilermakers won their first three games under Coach Matt Painter. Purdue held a two-point edge at halftime but started the second half by netting four of six three-point tries to secure a double-digit lead. The team led by more than 10 for most of the second half and ended up with the 15-point victory.
Isaac Haas led all Purdue scorers with 22 points, making eight of 14 field goals tries and all six free throws. Haas was the third different Purdue student-athlete to a game-leading scorer this year, joining Carsen Edwards (25 vs. Chicago State) and Dakota Mathias (18 vs. SIUE) for that distinction. Carsen Edwards represents the team's top scorer with an 18.7 scoring average, followed by Mathias and Haas who are both netting 15.3 points per contest.
