Biography
2017-18
Ferron Flavors Jr. became a key member of the Fairfield offense despite playing his first season in a Stags uniform. He was one two Fairfield student-athletes to average in double figures with his 12.3 scoring average. The forward saved his best for the end of the season by averaging 14.7 points per game during the MAAC tournament, including a season-best 21 points against Quinnipiac in the semifinal game. That performance surpassed his previous high of 20 points against Gardner-Webb in his fourth game with the program. Flavors Jr. posted 95 three-point field goals during the year which would have set the school record for most three pointers in a season if it wasn't for Tyler Nelson's 104 three pointers also in 2017-18. The two players combined for 199 three-point field goals which ranked among the top five tandems in Division I. He had a least one long-range jumper in all 33 of his appearances, averaging 2.8 per game. Flavors Jr. recorded two double-doubles during the year, beginning with his 16-point, 10-rebound game against Marist. He surpassed both of those totals with 21 points and 11 rebounds in the Quinnipiac game during the MAAC semifinal. He played 40 or more minutes five times with two of those outings coming during the MAACÂ tournament (Niagara and Quinnipiac). For the season, Flavors Jr. averaged 12.3 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.
