FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University women's tennis team fell 7-0 to the University of Maryland, Baltimore County on Saturday afternoon.
The Stags dropped at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, while the No. 2 spot did not finish.
Fairfield played hard but did not earn a singles victory on the day. Nicole Aragones and Karen McKeough at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots respectively each fell to a 6-2, 6-0 decision. Playing at No. 5 singles, Cecilia Parla dropped to Shannon Cleary 6-2, 6-3.
The women will have a quick turnaround as they visit Yale on Sunday morning for a 10:00 am match time.
