STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Fairfield University women's tennis team began its fall slate this past weekend at the Stony Brook Classic. The Stags competed in a total of 14 singles and four double matches at the event.

Eight different Stags were in action in the weekend event, including the collegiate debuts for freshmen Gabriella Campos, Courtney Connors and Cecilia Parla.

Fairfield continues the fall schedule this weekend in nearby Hamden at the Quinnipiac Invitational. The Stags will then open up their slate of dual meets with a trip to Hartford. Action hits the campus courts at the Walsh Athletic Center on Oct. 6 for the club's MAAC opener against Rider.
