FAIRFIELD, Conn. – For the second-straight weekend, the Stags' baseball opening weekend has been cancelled. Fairfield was set to take on the defending CAA regular season champions, William & Mary in a weekend battle of two 30-win teams from a year ago. There is no makeup day announced. The Stags are one of just 20 teams in the country yet to throw a pitch, with five of those squads hailing from Connecticut. 

Fairfield will travel to Florida where they won't have to worry about the snow (hopefully) for a 10-day trip to the Sunshine State which begins with a series with North Florida on Friday, March 6 at 6pm.
