Women's Lacrosse Hosts Siena on Saturday

The Fairfield University women's lacrosse team returns home to host Siena College on Lessing Field on Saturday, April 12 at 1pm.The Stags have won four straight games and have taken eight of the last nine games.

A Look at Siena: The Saints have dropped four of their last five entering Saturday's contest and are coming off a 20-8 loss to Canisius on Wednesday. Siena's lone win during that stretch came on April 2 when it topped Manhattan 12-7. Sarah Croutier leads the Saints with 25 goals and 33 points while Alyssa Treanor has 14 goals and a team-best 11 assists. Julia Sirianni has 47 draw controls. In the cage, Samantha DePasquale has seen the majority of the minutes, posting a 13.68 GAA with 99 saves.

Last Time Out: Fairfield is coming off a 12-6 win over Manhattan on April 5. Melanie Raso and Jenna Slowey scored four goals apiece for Fairfield while Julieanne Mascera netted two. The Stags also received goals from Maeve Quinn, and Colleen Reynolds.

MAAC Rookie of the Week: Freshman Riley Hellstein earned MAAC Rookie of the Week honors after stellar performance in the Stags' two conference victories over Iona and Manhattan last week. Hellstein scored a combined three goals and added an assist for Fairfield in the last two games. On the season, Hellstein has scored 12 goals and recorded six assists, for a total of 18 points.

Pardon Our Appearance: The first phase of construction on the Rafferty Stadium project has gotten underway. Due to the construction, the Walsh Athletic Center Parking Lot is closed. Fans are asked to utilize the parking lots at Dolan Commons, Fairfield Prep, the rear of Alumni Hall, and Jogues Hall when they visit Stags Country for a game.

Looking Ahead: The Stags will continue MAAC action at home, hosting Quinnipiac on April 16 at 3pm before ending the home schedule with Marist on April 19 at 1pm.
