FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse starts the second half of the MAAC schedule with a Saturday, April 4 visit from Manhattan. Opening draw from Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium is set for noon.
Admission is free for all fans to all Fairfield Women's Lacrosse regular season home games this season.
Fairfield University Stags (9-3, 4-0 MAAC)
- The Stags doubled up Rider, 18-9, on Wednesday in Lawrenceville for their fifth consecutive win.
- Kelly Haggerty (5 goals) and Mary Henry (4 goals, 1 assist) each had five points in the road victory.
- Tessa Caputo leads Fairfield with 42 points, followed by 39 for Haggerty. Caputo has dished out a team-best 25 assists, with Haggerty registering a team-leading 28 goals.
- Haley Burns paces the defense from the midfield, where she has recorded a team-best 30 caused turnovers with 22 ground balls. Burns is also second on the team with 18 goals.
- Fairfield, Mount St. Mary's, and Niagara enter the weekend all boasting 4-0 MAAC records.
- The Stags will play the Mount on April 8 at Rafferty Stadium, and the Mount visits Niagara to conclude the regular season on April 18.
- The Stags and Purple Eagles will not play each other during the regular season.
Manhattan University Jaspers (2-11, 1-3 MAAC)
- Manhattan dropped a 9-8 game to visiting Sacred Heart on Wednesday in Riverdale, falling to 2-11 overall and 1-3 in the MAAC.
- Both Manhattan wins have come on the road with a non-conference triumph at CCSU and a MAAC win at Rider.
- More than half of the Jaspers' 117 goals have come from two players: Ella Brunette with 34 markers and Julia Kerr with 30.
- Sophie Pasnak has played all 780 minutes in the cage for Manhattan, posting a 14.00 goals-against average and a .407 save percentage.
