FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Fairfield University women's tennis team will open its 2013-14 campaign at the Sacred Heart Doubles Festival on Saturday, September 7.

The 2012 Sacred Heart Doubles Festival was rained out. In 2011, Fairfield hosted the event and had three doubles pairs reach the semifinals, with one pair advancing to a championship match.

Fairfield returns seven Stags from last year's squad which went 11-9 overall and 6-1 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play. That group includes seniors Carolina Koladzyn, Victoria Pirrello, Sharissa Ryan, and Monica Yajima, the three-time MAAC Player of the Year.

After Sacred Heart Doubles Festival, Fairfield returns home to host Rider University at 2pm on the Walsh Athletic Center Tennis Courts.
