FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Fairfield University women's tennis team opens dual match play against Rider University tomorrow, September 11, on the Walsh Athletic Center Tennis Courts at 2pm. The men's team will also take on Rider at 2pm.

Last year, the Stags swept the Broncs on the Rider Campus Courts in Lawrenceville, N.J. In that match, the three-time MAAC Player of the Year Monica Yajima defeated Marly Roche, 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. In doubles, the duo of Yajima and Allison Radde defeated Rider duo Roche and Michelle Caravaglio, 8-4. In No. 2 singles, Sharissa Ryan matched up against Caravaglio and came away with a 6-2, 6-0 win.

The women's team opened their season last weekend at the Sacred Heart Doubles Festival.

After tomorrow's contest, the Stags travel to Philadelphia, Pa. to compete in the Saint Joseph's Invitational on September 27.
