With final exams completed a month ago, and the fall training camp reporting date less than two months away, members of the Fairfield University women's soccer team find themselves preparing for the 2012 campaign in a variety of ways.

Senior captain Nikki Stanton is playing with the Seattle Sounders in the W League. A member of the first team with the Sounders, Stanton is on a roster that has a dozen players with national team experience, including five members of the 2012 US Olympic Team, including Hope Solo and Alex Morgan.  The Sounders are currently 5-0-1 in W League play, and are second in the Western Division with 16 points.  Stanton has appeared in two of those games.

Several of the Stag returnees are dressing for the teams in the WPSL this summer. Junior Carly Beyar has returned to the Long Island Fury roster, while sophomore Megan O'Brien is with the CFC Passion.  Senior captain Lauren Reilly is on the New England Mutiny roster, while sophomore Michelle Kowalski is with the F.C. Westchester Elite.

Torey Camporini, a sophomore, helped lead her Clearwater Chargers Soccer Club to the State Cup semifinals.  Classmate Michelle Coate is on the roster of the Crusaders in the EMWSL, while Erin Pettersen is playing with the ISA Sting 92 at the US Club Regionals.

There are several players yet to don the Fairfield uniform that are preparing for their collegiate debuts with full summer slates. Dalia Abu-Sitteh was a member of Stags head coach Jim O'Brien's CFC United U19 squad that captured the CJSA Premier State Championship in June. Chase Burke led the Massapequa Force to the New York GU-18 State crown, a NERP Premier League championship, and will play in the US Regional event later this summer.  Karolyn Collins is also playing with the Connecticut Football Club (CFC), seeing time with the Passion in the WPSL and the United in the ECNL.
