Biography
2013: MAAC All-Academic Team … Appeared in 20 games with 19 starts in final season. Had two assists on the year. Picked up an assist against Central Connecticut. Assisted on a goal against Canisius.
2012: MAAC All-Academic Team ... Beyar appeared in 16 games, missing three with an injury, and started 14 times during her junior season. She finished the year with a team-best five assists - a single-season career-high - and netted a goal, for seven points. Beyar's first tally of the year was the lone goal in a win over Vermont in August. She had assists in three straight games, all wins, to open league play and wrapped up the regular season with assists in the final two games of the year, also wins.
2011: All-MAAC Second Team ... Beyar led the Stags in goals scored during her sophomore season as she completed a transition from defender to forward, with all of her points coming in the final five games of the season. She netted four goals, including a pair of game-winners, to finish tied for the team lead with eight points. Beyar struck twice in the Stags win at Saint Peter's, including her first career game-winning tally in the conference win. She then scored the winner against Rider on Senior Day, and ended the run with the Stags lone goal in the MAAC semifinal tie versus eventual league champion Marist. Beyar played an integral role in the Stags defense for much of the season as well.
2010: All-MAAC Rookie Team ... Beyar started all 20 games for the Stags during her rookie campaign, helping Fairfield to 11 shutouts and a team GAA of just 1.05. She also provided the Stags with an offensive punch, scoring twice and adding an assist over the last eight games of the season. Beyar netted her first goal of the season in the win over Saint Peter's on October 10 and repeated the feat against Canisius on October 22. She assisted on the Stags lone goal against Harvard in the season finale. The five total points put Beyar fourth on the team in scoring and second amongst Fairfield rookies.
High School: Beyar earned four varsity letters at South Side High School, where she led the Lady Cyclones to four state titles and two NSCAA #1 national rankings (2008 & '09). Twice in the course of her career Beyar led the squad to undefeated seasons, 22-0-0 as a sophomore, and 17-0-2 as a senior. She was named an NSCAA Girls High School All-America her senior season, while earning two NYSSWA All-State selections and All-Long Island accolades from Newsday. Beyar also played for the Long Island Fury, the two-time champions of the Women's Premier Soccer League. She was also inducted into the National Honor Society at South Side.
Off The Field: Beyar is on schedule to graduate in May with a degree in Communications and a minor in Studio Art. She has earned membership in the Department of Athletics 3.0 Club in five consecutive semesters and has been on the Dean's List in each of the last three.
Personal: Daughter of Judith and Robert Beyar. Her older sister, Alaina, was a teammate with the Long Island Fury, and is a senior on the Boston College women's soccer team.
