Fairfield (11-17; 2-4 MAAC) vs. Rider (7-20; 2-4 MAAC): Fairfield took two out of the three at Rider last season, notching a 6-5 win and a 3-1 extra-inning victory to sweep the doubleheader. The Broncs posted a 6-3 victory the following day to prevent a three-game sweep. In the opener,

Rider Round-Up: The Broncs have dropped six straight games entering the weekend and are coming off a 2-1 loss to NJIT on April 3. Rider was last victorious on March 24 when it swept a doubleheader from Niagara University. Ian Lindsay leads the team with a .301 batting average while Mike Parsons has driven in 14 runs. Brandon Cotten is hitting .282 with 12 RBI and 14 runs scored. Cotten has also swiped 11 bases in 12 attempts. On the hill, Tyler Smith is 1-1with a 1.82 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 24.2 innings. Mike Murphy (1-3) has a 2.09 ERA with 30 strikeouts in 43.0 innings.
