Baseball Finishes Non-League Action At Quinnipiac

Weekly Notes

Fairfield will play its final non-league game on Thursday when it travels to Quinnipiac. First pitch is slated for 3:30pm.

Fairfield (15-22) vs. Quinnipiac (14-28): The Stags and the Bobcats met three times last season, with Fairfield coming away with victories in all three contests. Anthony Hajjar hit .333 with four RBI against Quinnipiac last season. Fairfield has won the last four meetings to bring its all-time record to 16-12 against the Bobcats.

Bobcats Bites: Quinnipiac has dropped 15 of its last 16 games, including eight-straight. They are coming off an 8-1 loss at UMass on Tuesday. Kyle Nisson is batting a team-best .338 with 19 RBI and also has scored 15 times. Mickey Amanti is hitting .333 with a team-high 29 runs scored.

Looking Ahead: The Stags will resume league play this weekend by hosting Iona. The two teams will play a doubleheader beginning at noon on Saturday, May 7. The two teams will finish the series on May 8 with a single game at noon.
