FINAL RESULTS

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The women's golf team shave an impressive 22 strokes off their first round score to jump two spots and finish second overall at the Hartford Women's Invitational. The Stags shot a 335 and 313 on the 36-holes to finish with a 648 total. Sacred Heart was the tournament winner with a 636 two-day total as a team.

Annie Sperandio led the Stags throughout the 36-hole event. She shot an 81 on the first round followed by a 77 on the second for a team best 158 and third place finish. Kristen Macdonald finished one stroke behind Sperandio after shooting a team best second round score of 76. Macdonald finished tied for fourth with her 159 two-day total. Elise Lemons followed her day one score of 88 with a 79 to end the event with a 167. Claire Rothschild and Megan Feeney rounded out the scoring for the Stags with a 175 and 176, respectively. Feeney improved her first round score by a team high 14 strokes.

The women's golf team returns to action April 17, when they participate in the Lady Blue Devil Shoot Out at Wethersfield Country Club.
