Women's Golf Begins The Season With A 4th Place Fi

FINAL RESULTS

 POOLER, Ga. – The Fairfield University women's golf team placed fourth overall at this year's Lonnie Barton Invitational. As a team the Stags shot a 320 and 334 on the two rounds for a 654 total. Towson won the tournament after shooting a 628 total, followed by Sacred Heart (637), and Long Island University (652). Towson's Emily Kwak was the individual medalist with her 152 total on 36 holes.

Kristen Macdonald
shot consistent 77's for a 154 total. She is the only Stag to place in the top-5, as she finished the tournament tied for fourth overall.
 
Christina DeStefano followed her day one score of 77 with an 89 for a 166 total and a tied for 19th finish. Elise Lemons and Annie Sperandio both finished the two-day event tied for 21st overall. Sperandio improved her day one ranking of 27th by 6, after shooting an 82 on the second round. Mary Alice Limperopulos shaved 10 strokes off her first round score to round off the scoring for the Stags.
 

The Fairfield University women's golf team returns to action March 18 at the C&F Bank Invitational on Marsh Hawk Golf Course.
