Temple University hurler Zach White held the Fairfield University baseball team's bats at bay this afternoon, no-hitting the Stags into the seventh inning as the Owls went on to the 9-0 non-league victory at Skip Wilson Field.

White (3-2) tossed the one-hit complete game shutout, striking out three batters and walking just one. He went seven and two-thirds innings without surrendering hit until sophomore Anthony Hajjar singled for the Stags (5-7).

Temple (10-5) got on the board in the bottom of the first inning on an RBI single by Ryan Ferguson. Steve Nikorak followed with a two-run homer to put the Owls ahead, 3-0. Temple added another run in the bottom of the second and did not score again until the sixth inning. The Owls added four more runs in the bottom of the seventh for the 9-0 advantage.

Sophomore Mark Bordonaro was charged with his first loss of the season, allowing four runs on eight hits in four innings.  

Fairfield returns to action tomorrow when it faces Big East foe Villanova at 1pm.
