FAIRFIELD, Conn. - After a week off, the men's tennis team travels locally to take on the University of Hartford Hawks, Friday night at 7pm.
Most recently, the Stags are coming off a solid win over NJIT and are now 3-1 overall with their only loss coming in a hard fought match to Army, 4-3, in their season opener. Sophomore
Erik Kremheller (Riverside, Conn.) enters the match after being honored earlier this week with the first MAAC Player of the Week award for his impressive play so far this spring.
Hartford enters the match 3-1 overall as well with victories over Siena, St. Francis, and Holy Cross earlier this fall. They are 2-0 at home, with their only loss coming in their season opener to UConn. The match-up with Fairfield marks the Hawks first dual match of the spring. The Stags did not play Hartford last season, but defeated them 6-1 in 2009.
