Men's And Women's Tennis Host Stony Brook

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The men's and women's tennis team will take on Stony Brook University this Friday at Stamford Indoor Tennis Center. The match is set for 8 p.m.
The women's tennis team opened at home last weekend with a 5-2 victory over Fordham University. The Stags went a perfect 3-0 in doubles play and topped Fordham in No. 1, No. 3, No. 5, and No. 6 singles.
The men's team started their 2011 season on the road with a tough match against out of conference foe, Army. The Stags fell 4-3, but the match marked junior Dan Sauter's 100th combined victory as he paired with freshman Bjorn Merinder to defeat Army's Holland and Verano 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.
Stony Brook is another tough out of conference match-up. Both the men's and women's team fell to the Seawolves last season. The match will be the 2011 season opener for Stony Brook, as the Stags look to avenge last year's losses this Friday, February 4, at 8 p.m.
