NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – The Fairfield University men's and women's diving teams had a solid afternoon of competition at the Central Connecticut State Diving Invitational.
Freshman
Evan Barr picked up a pair of third-place finishes to lead the men. He recorded a score of 182.00 on the 1-meter and a mark of 184.50 on the 3-meter.
Junior
Ryan Krebs placed fourth on the 1-meter with a score of 167.00. On the 3-meter, Krebs took fifth with a mark of 154.85.
Freshman
Joe Dowling was fifth on the 1-meter with a score of 158.15. He placed fourth on the 3-meter with a score of 179.85.
Freshman
Will Sullivan placed seventh on the 1-meter with a score of 141.10 and took seventh on the 3-meter with a score of 99.15.
On the women's side, freshman
Ashlee Steinberger was the runner-up on the 3-meter with a score of 211.05, one of Fairfield's all-time top-ten performances. Steinberger posted a score of 163.40 on the 1-meter to finish ninth.
Freshman
Lauren Kemple placed eighth on the 3-meter with a score of 133.50. Kemple also finished 13th overall on the 1-meter with a score of 134.60 on the 1-meter.
Fairfield competed individually against squads from CCSU, Providence, Wagner, and Stony Brook.
Fairfield swimming and diving returns to action on October 28 when the Stags travel to Fordham for a dual meet beginning at 4pm.
