Final Results
The Fairfield University women's golf team finished 13th out of 19 teams with a final score of 669 at the Rutgers Women's Invitational. The Stags shot 341 on Saturday at the par-72 Rutgers Golf Course in Piscataway, N.J.
Elly Lemons was the Stags top finisher with a 36-hole score of 163, good for a 37th place tie. Megan Feeney was a stroke behind her teammate in a 42nd place tie at 164. Emma Ritzmann shot 85 on Saturday to finish at 169, good for a 62nd place tie, while Katherine Rockwell finished 76th with a two-day 173. Rounding out the Fairfield effort was Kathryn Heffernan in 84th place with a two-day score of 179.
Boston College shot a 311 second round team total to capture the team title with a two-day 616, two strokes ahead of first-day leader, and host, Rutgers. Scarlet Knight Kortnie Maxoutopouli shot a 150, with back-to-back rounds of 75, to win the individual title by two strokes.
Saturday was the Stags Putting for Pink round, where donations are made for every par or better the Stags score, with all proceeds benefitting Rally for the Cure®.
The event marked the Stags final fall tournament.
