FINAL RESULTS

MIDLOTHIAN, V.A. – The Fairfield women's golf team finished play this afternoon at Independence Golf Course. Their team score of 966 earned them seventh place overall. The Stags shot a consistent 319 on the first two rounds and finished today with a  328.

Senior Kristen Macdonald (Billerica, Mass.) continued her solid play by shooting a team third round low of 78 to finish ninth overall with a 233. Elise Lemons (Upton, Mass.) finished 25^th with a 242 total.

Senior Annie Sperandio (Lexington, Mass.)  improved her second round score by 10, shooting an 80 on the day for a 247 total. Rounding out the Stags' scoring were Christina DeStefano (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) with a 254 and Claire Rothschild (Garden City, N.Y.) who shot a 259 on the three rounds.

The Spider Invitational concludes the women's golf team's fall season. The Stags finished eighth or better in each of their six fall tournaments, their best finish coming last weekend where they captured first place at the Hofstra Invitational. The first place finish marked the top finishes for five Stags including Christina DeStefano (1^st), Kristen MacDonald (2^nd), Claire Rothschild (9^th), Annie Sperandio (T10^th),  and Elise Lemons (12^th). The Fairfield women's golf team looks to continue their 2010 fall success in their spring season starting up in January.
