FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Forward Rylee LaLoup earned the CAA Offensive Player of the Week award for her performance last week, helping the Fairfield University field hockey team split two games.

LaLoup started both games including the team's first CAA win last Friday, a 4-2 decision over Towson University. The graduate student accounted for half of the team's offense against the Tigers, netting the team's second and fourth goals.

Her first tally came in the 17^th minute and put the Stags in front by a 2-0 margin. She later sealed the victory with the team's final goal in the 59^th minute. She also started the team's final game of the weekend against non-conference foe University of Delaware.

For the season, LaLoup is among the team leaders in goals scored with five as well as in total points with 10 points. She is one of two Stags with a double-digit point total this season. She leads the team with a .556 shot percentage, putting five of her nine attempts on goal through her nine appearances.

The Fairfield University field hockey team, under Head Coach Laura Gebhart, will return home for a pair of games this weekend. The Stags will CAA opponent Hofstra University on Friday, October 2 before hosting Lehigh University on Sunday, October 4.
