FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University Women's Soccer team has announced the addition of Reilly Johnson to their staff as the program's newest graduate assistant coach. Johnson brings student leadership and management to the team after graduating from Boston College in May.
 
"I'm incredibly excited and grateful to join the Fairfield Women's Soccer staff," Johnson said. "One of the first things that stood out to me was the culture, not just within the program but throughout the entire athletic department. It's clear that everyone genuinely supports one another and wants to see each other succeed, and that's something I feel incredibly fortunate to become a part of. I'm excited to learn from this amazing staff, build relationships with our student-athletes, and help contribute to the continued success of Fairfield Women's Soccer."
 
Johnson graduated after four years with Boston College serving as a student manager, assistant and a student-athlete. As a player-assistant coach, Johnson assisted in planning and executing daily training sessions while contributing as an active team member.
 
She represented the program during recruitment discussions while building rapport with prospective athletes and families. She also tracked and analyzed in-game statistics to support strategic decision-making and performance evaluation and served as a liaison between coaching staff and players, strengthening team communication and alignment.
 
She also brings international experience to the program, competing in the Danish first division under an amateur contract in 2022.
 
A native of Wilmington, N.C., Johnson graduated from Boston College in May with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Biology, Pre-Med Track.
 
Johnson will join a Fairfield team coming off their second-straight conference regular season championship while holding an overall record of 33-5-3 and a 20-1-3 league mark. Their .841 winning percentage over the last two seasons is the highest in Division I.
