Fairfield Athletics Named Finalist For Sports Video Group College Sports Media Award

ATLANTA, Ga. – Fairfield University Athletics was named a finalist for the annual Sports Video Group (SVG) College Sports Media Awards in the Outstanding Cinematic Recap category with the 2024-25 Year-End montage grabbing the accolade. This marks the third-straight year the athletic department has been named a finalist with four total videos receiving the honor.

"Our creative content team is honored to be considered among the best in the nation for yet another year," Deputy Athletic Director Zach Dayton said. "This nomination shows that the story we are telling at Fairfield is among the best in the country. Not just with our teams' championship successes but also with the dedication, perseverance, and contagious energy that our student-athletes display every single day."

Fairfield's 2024-25 year-end montage which features all 20 Division I sports edited to Kelly Clarkson's hit Fight Song was one of nine finalists for the Outstanding Cinematic Recap in the Championship Division.

The montage summarized Fairfield athletics' historic 2024-25 campaign which featured a program-record eight MAAC Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances in seeing the Stags earn their second-straight MAAC Commissioners Cup. The video premiered at the annual student-athlete banquet which celebrated the accomplishments of the season.

This is the third-straight year-end video to be nominated as a finalist in the national summit and Fairfield's fourth video overall.

Winners will be selected by a panel of judges and announced at the 18th-annual SVG College Sports Media Awards in association with NACDA ceremony, which will be hosted by ESPN's Ryan McGee at the SVG College Summit in the Hilton Atlanta on May 27 at 5 p.m. ET.
